Indiana Michigan Power Company 2020 Solar and Wind RFPs

Indiana Michigan Power Company, an American Electric Power company, has issued two Requests For Proposals (RFPs) to obtain up to 450 MW of solar or wind energy resources to reduce customer costs and further diversify its electric generation mix. The participating Projects must be operational by the end of 2023. The RFPs consist of the following products:

  • PSA RFP: 300 MW Solar and Wind RFP via one or more Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs) for purchase of 100% equity interest in a project company owning the project. Projects can interconnect to AEP’s Transmission System in PJM, or MISO in the states of Indiana or Michigan and must have a minimum size of 20 MW;
  • PPA RFP: 150 MW Solar and Wind Resource RFP via one or more long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). Projects can interconnect to AEP’s Transmission System in PJM, I&M’s Distribution System, or MISO in the states of Indiana or Michigan.

The PSA and PPA proposals may include the option of a Battery Energy Storage System. Projects are encouraged to include the use of local goods and services sourced, in whole or in part, from Indiana and Michigan businesses. Learn more >
