According to a 2022 survey by the National Association of REALTORS, 63% of REALTORS believe that promoting energy efficiency in listings is valuable. On the other hand, only 33% are comfortable answering clients' questions about home performance. To help bridge this gap, MEEA partners with local chapters and other partners throughout the Midwest to help agents and appraisers understand the value of energy efficient, high performing homes.
The programs we offer highlight the benefits of an energy efficient home, the tools that agents can use to effectively market these homes and resources that can help residents reduce energy use at home. We prioritize trainings that help professionals earn the continuing education credits required to mainting their state license, including trainings that qualify for designations from the National Association of REALTORS and the Appraisal Institute, but are also happy to participate in event that do not qualify for continuing education credits.
If you're interested in attending or co-hosting any of these courses, please email us at realestate@mwalliance.org.
