Energy Resources Center at UIC

The Energy Resources Center (ERC) is an interdisciplinary public service, research, and special projects organization dedicated to improving energy efficiency and the environment. Based out of the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), the ERC was established in 1973 by the Board of Trustees as an approved Illinois Board of Higher Education center.

The Energy Education Council (EEC) is an internationally recognized leader in providing a wealth of safety, efficiency, and renewable energy information. EEC was created and is supported by a diverse group of organizations united by mutually important consumer issues. Our mission is to create a safer, smarter world by providing life-saving, energy-saving, and cost-saving information and resources.

Edison Foundation Institute for Electric Innovation

The Edison Foundation Institute for Electric Innovation focuses on advancing the adoption and application of new technologies that will strengthen and transform the power grid.  The Institute’s members are the investor-owned electric utilities that represent about 70 percent of the U.S. electric power industry.  The membership is committed to an affordable, reliable, secure, and clean energy future.

E Source provides independent research, advisory, and information services to utilities, major energy users, and other key players in the retail energy marketplace. Our mission is to increase the effectiveness of our members' operations, programs, and customer relationships, while supporting the efficient and environmentally sound use of energy.

Citizens Utility Board

CUB is Illinois’ leading nonprofit utility watchdog organization. Created by the Illinois Legislature, CUB opened its doors in 1984 to represent the interests of residential and small-business utility customers. Since then, CUB has saved consumers more than $10 billion by helping to block rate hikes and secure refunds over the years.

Argonne National Laboratory

Argonne National Laboratory applies a unique mix of world-class user facilities and leading scientific and engineering staff to develop innovative solutions to the grand challenges of our time: plentiful and safe energy, a healthy environment, economic competitiveness and a secure nation. Four major core capabilities support Argonne's R&D programs: hard X-ray sciences, fundamental science, applied science and engineering, and leadership computing.

American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE)

The American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing energy efficiency as a means of promoting both economic prosperity and environmental protection. ACEEE fulfills its mission by conducting in-depth technical and policy assessments; advising policymakers and program managers; working collaboratively with businesses, public interest groups, and other organizations; organizing conferences and workshops; publishing books, conference proceedings, and reports; and educating consumers and businesses.

Alliance to Save Energy

The Alliance to Save Energy is a nonprofit, bipartisan alliance of business, government, environmental and consumer leaders working to expand the economy while using less energy. Our mission is to promote energy productivity worldwide, including through energy efficiency, to achieve a stronger economy, a cleaner environment and greater energy security, affordability and reliability.

Combined Heat and Power Alliance

The Combined Heat and Power Alliance, formerly known as the Alliance for Industrial Efficiency, is a coalition of business, labor, contractor, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions who share the vision that combined heat and power can make America’s manufacturers and other businesses more competitive, reduce energy costs, enhance grid reliability and reduce emissions.
