In light of the EU and the US commitments to a full society-wide decarbonization by 2050, the EU and US have established an energy dialogue to further exchange on ideas to secure an economic recovery focused on green and sustainable solutions. The EU-US energy dialogue, focusing on advancing transatlantic recovery with building renovation and clean energy solutions, will include a series of five webinars taking place between June and December 2021. This series of exchanges and conferences intends to contribute to the strengthening of transatlantic collaboration and exchange on climate mitigation policy and green recovery policies.

The first webinar session, taking place Thursday, June 17th, 9 – 11 a.m. CDT, will feature presentations on the EU and US overarching plans and strategies to boost energy efficient renovations in buildings, to achieve their climate goals and support a sustainable economic recovery. It will provide an overview of the policies that the EU, US federal government, states and local governments are implementing and testing to increase the number of renovations.
