Kathryn Eggers

Manager, Training & Workforce

As Manager, Training & Workforce at MEEA, Kathryn coordinates education activities that help advance energy efficiency for sustainable economic development and environmental stewardship in 13 Midwestern states. This includes a mix of introductory courses and continuing education for building operators, real estate professionals, building code officials and others who work in the built environment. Prior to joining MEEA, Kathryn supported energy efficiency and other sustainability initiatives as an ESG Manager at a software and consulting company and as a Program Manager at another Chicago nonprofit. She began her career as an environmental educator and especially enjoyed her jobs as a Park Ranger at Arches National Park and an Educator at the Field Museum. 

Kathryn holds a Master of Environmental Management, with a concentration in Energy and Environment, from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Outside of work Kathryn enjoys exploring the outdoors, typically on foot or bike, reading and spending time with family and friends.
