Market Solutions & Education Senior Associate
Caren Shorthouse is a Market Solutions and Education Senior Associate at the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. In this role, Caren assists with Federal Home Loan Bank programs and assists low-income housing to increase their energy efficiency. Prior to MEEA, Caren was the Natural Resources Administrator for Western Piedmont Council of Governments, working within a four-county region on watershed management, stream restorations, and stormwater education and outreach. Prior to her position at WPCOG, she received her Master’s degree in Sustainability Studies at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Asheville, North Carolina.
In her free time, Caren enjoys spending time with her two dogs outdoors, going to concerts, and reading good books.
