Intelligent Efficiency is a full-system approach to reducing energy consumption through the use of advanced controls, sensors and communications technology to create adaptive networks that improve building performance.
Everyday products are dramatically changing the way we capture energy savings through smart thermostats, connected devices, whole building automation systems, fault detection systems and new tools enabling advanced data analysis. These innovations present an opportunity to identify, realize and measure energy savings in a faster, less expensive way.
In 2016, MEEA launched an initiative aimed at helping members better understand the implications of new intelligent efficiency solutions. MEEA conducts qualitative research on intelligent efficiency in the region to assess existing progress, the biggest opportunities for growth and expansion and any barriers to overcome.
