Senior Associate, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement

Natalie Newman is a Senior Associate, Policy & Stakeholder Engagement, on MEEA’s Policy Team. With a particular focus on Stakeholder Engagement, she is responsible for outreach and collaboration with stakeholders on state initiatives like Energy Efficiency for All (EEFA) and federal projects like the Buildings Upgrade Prize (Buildings UP). Additionally, Natalie leads stakeholder, administrative, and legislative functions focused on Missouri and Kansas.

Before joining MEEA, Natalie was a recruiter at a large international law firm, organizing a yearly summer associate program. She is a trained community organizer and previously worked for the Illinois chapter of the Sierra Club on both issue and political campaigns. Most recently, Natalie lived in Madrid, Spain, and studied Spanish.

Natalie earned a B.A. in Environmental Policy and Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis. Her midwestern roots are strong, having lived in Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys practicing yoga, cooking and eating delicious food, and using public transit to explore Chicago.
