John Gossman

Associate, Building Codes & Policy

John is an Associate, Building Codes & Policy, at the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. In this role, he assists in implementing policies and compliance programs to improve the energy efficiency of buildings at a local, state and regional level. Prior to joining MEEA, John worked in many different facets of construction including project managing full home renovations and being a member of the local carpenter union. John also worked in the environmental consulting industry, collecting and analyzing air pollution data from various industries around the country. John is passionate about industrialized and mass timber construction, best building practices and smart home technologies and has earned the Building Science Principles and Total Building Performance Certifications from the Building Performance Institute. 

In his free time, he enjoys exploring the city, architecture tours and getting out into nature as often as possible. John has a B.S. in Environmental Science from the University of Northern Colorado.
