As a leader in ICF’s Central Region, Ameer Bishay brings a diverse background from twenty years of experience across aviation, construction management and energy sectors. At the start of his career, Ameer served as a commercial pilot while owning and operating a construction company that built and developed new construction homes and commercial buildings in metro Detroit. Today, Ameer currently manages a portfolio of 27 programs and projects for one of the nation’s largest utilities, including traditional demand-side management (DSM) programs, demand response (DR) non-wire alternatives (NWA), ecommerce platforms, a time of use (TOU) rate design project and a distributed energy management system (DEMS) Program. The portfolio’s overall annual goal is estimated at 380,000 and 200,000 MCF and MWh respectively. In his day-to-day operations, Ameer leads a large team of operational, field and cross-functional team members. An expert in strategy and service design, Ameer is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt where he has applied continuous improvement problem solving techniques in his management over the last nine years. Ameer holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University in Aviation Flight Sciences.
