On behalf of the Iowa Department of Public Safety, the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance is conducting an anonymous survey of common energy related building practices across Iowa. This research will aid in identifying missed opportunities for energy savings, and developing additional assistance programs to facilitate energy code compliance.
What is a Field Study
A field study is an anonymous survey of common building practices observed during different phases of construction. Specific observations will be made to better understand how energy code requirements are typically being implemented in the field. The collection of data typically takes less than an hour and will not interfere with ongoing operations. This study will use the US Department of Energy survey methodology and document observed in-field data.
