The Eastern Iowa Community Colleges Advanced Technology Environmental and Energy Center in Davenport has received the 2012 Inspiring Efficiency Education Award from the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance.

The center received the award for its new Interactive Learning Lab - the first of its kind in the nation - which educates visitors regarding sustainable and renewable energy technologies.

AIEC & Illinois Electric Cooperatives Win MEEA Impact Award for HomE Program

CHICAGO – The Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives’ (AIEC) highly successful HomE (pronounced “Home E”) program helped 25 distribution cooperatives in Illinois perform nearly 3,500 home energy audits and deliver more than 3,000 energy efficiency rebates to Illinois homeowners.

The program, one of the largest and most effective in Illinois history, was recognized with the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance’s (MEEA) 2012 Inspiring Efficiency Impact Award.

The Energy Innovation Corridor Wins Regional Innovation Award

The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) recently announced the winner of the 2012 Inspiring Efficiency Innovation Award as the Energy Innovation Corridor in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.

The Energy Innovation Corridor is a clean energy and transportation showcase that offers a wide range of energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean transportation and smart technology tools and programs to local businesses and residents. It lies along an 11-mile stretch between Minneapolis and St. Paul.
