Policy Manager

Nick Hromalik is MEEA’s Policy Manager, where he advocates for positive state energy efficiency policies, builds strong relationships and collaborates with diverse stakeholders. He oversees policy research, messaging, outreach and legislative analysis in Ohio, Kansas and Wisconsin.

Prior to joining MEEA, Nick worked as a senior legislative assistant for Congressman Jared Huffman (CA-02), providing analysis on legislation and advising the congressman on a variety of policy issues, including energy, climate change, education, health care, labor, agriculture and trade. Nick has also worked as a field representative for the California Assembly, field director on a congressional campaign and a sustainability coordinator for Speaker Pelosi’s Green the Capitol Initiative.

Nick holds a B.A. in Political Science / American Politics from the University of California, San Diego. Nick enjoys running along Lake Michigan, exploring our national parks and playing the Irish tin whistle.
