Program Associate

Melanie Mancuso is a Program Associate on the Building Operator Certification (BOC) team at MEEA. In this role, she coordinates the BOC program in several states throughout the Midwest, assists partners with designing program delivery models and conducts local marketing and outreach campaigns. Before joining MEEA, Melanie participated in the Women in Science program at The Field Museum, working on plant species conservation and climate science projects. Her interest in sustainability began with her position at the Searle Biodiesel Lab, producing sustainable fuel and soap and innovating new ways to repurpose common waste products.

Melanie recently earned her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Loyola University Chicago’s Institute of Environmental Sustainability and she pursued a minor in International Studies. In her free time, Melanie enjoys seeing musicals, traveling and trying new recipes.
