Gary Enama began his career with AEP Ohio (Ohio Power Co.) as a Customer Services Advisor in Canton, Ohio in 1980. He has been promoted and held various positions within the Customer Services & Marketing department. In 2009 he became part of AEP Ohio’s Demand Side Management Energy Efficiency business team. Gary is an Energy Efficiency and Business Services Program Manager for AEP Ohio. He has worked to perform energy efficiency duties to achieve AEP Ohio’s target goals levels in a safe and sustainable manner as well as managed AEP Ohio’s energy efficiency prescriptive, custom, self-direct, networked light controls and energy auditing programs. By working to expand the role of energy efficiency, Gary has developed marketing plans to gain deep customer penetration in various business segments and grow the role of energy efficiency in the industry.
Gary holds engineering degrees in HVAC design & General Studies from Kent State University and a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Malone University. Gary holds a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and a Residential Certified Auditor (REA) certification from the Association of Energy Engineers.
