Though energy efficiency savings last a long time, not every policy campaign lasts forever. This section will provide an archive of campaigns that MEEA has worked on in the past, but which, for political reasons, economic changes, or success or failure of the campaign, are no longer being actively pursued. Some of the materials that come out of these campaigns maintain some relevance, and can also provide some historical context for the changes in energy efficiency policy in the Midwest.
Currently listed in the Previous Campaigns section are:
- The Midwest Natural Gas Initiative, a regional campaign that sought to increase awareness among Midwestern policymakers about the then-high cost of reliance on natural gas, the turbulence of natural gas pricing, and the role of energy efficiency in combatting the natural gas crisis in 2005-2006.
