MEEA's policy activities are based on our strategic goals of:

Raising awareness of the importance and benefits associated with energy efficiency policies, funding, and programs;

Increasing ratepayer investments for energy efficiency programs across the Midwest states; and

Increasing the adoption, implementation, and enforcement of commercial and residential energy codes in the Midwest.
Our policy activities are primarily at the state and regional level as we seek to advance energy efficiency in the Midwest, working with our Members and with regional organizations, though we also engage with national level advocates to ensure that national level efficiency policies bring benefits to the Midwest and draw on the knowledge and experience of Midwestern states and utilities in bringing cost-effective energy efficiency to consumers.
