MEEA's policy activities are based on our strategic goals of:
- Raising awareness of the importance and benefits associated with energy efficiency policies, funding, and programs;
- Increasing ratepayer investments for energy efficiency programs across the Midwest states; and
- Increasing the adoption, implementation, and enforcement of commercial and residential energy codes and appliance standards in the Midwest.
Our Policy Initiatives at the state, regional, and national level advocate for the advancement of sound policies for saving energy. The Policy Initiatives section includes:
- An Overview of the main policy drivers of energy efficiency;
- MEEA's Active Initiatives to advance Midwestern energy policies; and
- Policy Events that MEEA holds to increase awareness among policymakers, our members, and the general public about the need for energy efficiency policies at the state and regional level;
