Midwest Energy Codes

An increasing number of states in the Midwest are adopting the latest Building Energy Codes to increase the energy efficiency of new buildings in the state and to comply with requirements for some of the Department of Energy funding received under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

MEEA continuously monitors energy code upgrades and serves as a resource for states when upgrading their codes.  MEEA supports statewide adoption of the most recent national energy code certified by the U.S. Department of Energy, by providing written and verbal testimony.
