Ohio's Electric Cooperatives is a generation and transmission cooperative that provides power to the 25 electric distribution cooperatives that serve approximately 385,000 homes and businesses in Ohio. Ohio's Electric Cooperatives is a non-profit entity that is jointly owned by the distribution cooperatives it serves. Ohio's Electric Cooperatives provides electric power that is generated by coal-based generation, natural gas-fired peaking plants, hydroelectric power, wind generation and bio-mass generation.
