Michigan Saves is a nonprofit dedicated to making energy improvements easier for all Michigan energy consumers, by providing affordable loans within the residential, commercial, multi-family and public sector markets. Michigan Saves was established in 2009, as a public-private partnership, through a grant from the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC). Michigan Saves works hard to leverage public funding with private investments. For every public dollar supporting our financing programs through a loan loss reserve fund, there are $20 in private dollars invested in energy improvements.

The organization’s mission is to stimulate and support investment in energy efficiency measures and renewable-energy systems in Michigan homes, businesses, and public buildings. Working with industry and community partners, Michigan Saves offers a statewide network of authorized contractors with expertise in energy efficiency and onsite renewable-energy systems; makes innovative, affordable financing through a network of authorized lenders; and, accelerates demand for greater efficiency through education and communication.
