Hear the Minnesota approach to addressing two key issues related to Measure and Data Management:

1) Utilities and States with deep DSM experience and those new to DSM struggle to define, manage, and implement standard measure calculations. Whether a utility gets its measures from a statewide Technical Reference Manual (TRM), develops them internally, or gets them from a consultant, managing and implementing those standards is challenging and costly.

This MEEA Policy Webinar, held on November 17, 2011, outlined the leading states in the Midwest, reviewed current trends, and highlighted programs in Illinois and Michigan, drawing from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy's 2011 State Energy Efficiency Scorecard and energy efficiency experts from the state energy offices. 

MEEA, in partnership with US EPA, hosted the first Midwest Home Performance call – a series aimed at creating a dialogue to discuss issues relevant to Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES) or whole-home programs in the Midwest. The target audience for these periodic calls will be staff from organizations that are currently running HPwES/whole-home programs in the Midwest or sponsors considering programs. This is intended to be an active home performance discussion. The idea is to highlight specific issues, and discuss Midwestern Solutions.

MEEA  partnered with one of its Members, Rinnai, to offer an informational webinar on tankless water heating technology.  This webinar began with an overview of tankless water heaters for both residential and commercial applications and then cover the energy- and money-savings potential, common misconceptions with these technologies, and real-world applications for these products.  The webinar wrapped-up with a quick overview of Rinnais boiler and combination hot water-boiler systems.
