MEEA Annual Report 2010

Riding the crest of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), MEEA and its
members succeeded on many fronts in 2010.  In keeping with our mission, our energy
efficiency programs and policies saved consumers money, generated energy savings
and boosted local, regional and state economies. Our membership continued to grow,
increasing by more than 10 percent in 2010 as MEEA strengthened our regional leader-
ship and continued to bridge the gap between evolving policy initiatives and program
opportunities.

MEEA Accomplishments - 10 Years of Impact

The document "MEEA Accomplishments - 10 Years of Impact" details the lifetime kWh or electricity and therms of natural gas saved over MEEA's 10 years as an advocate for energy efficiency.

2009 Annual Report

This was a watershed year for energy efficiency in the Midwest because of an increase in federal funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) in addition to the progressive work already underway throughout the region. MEEA estimated that just under $1 billion would be spent annually on energy efficiency in the region by 2012, and this was before the passage of ARRA. ARRA spending will nearly triple the investment in energy efficiency with an additional $2.86 billion in spending.

2008 Annual Report

2008 was one of great change at MEEA and great advancements for energy efficiency in the Midwest. Our membership grew by more than 30 percent in 2008 and we expanded our geographic footprint – testaments to the region’s growing commitment to energy efficiency, our strong network of members, and MEEA’s regional role as the source on energy efficiency.
