Azat Turegeldin is a Policy Summer Intern on MEEA’s Policy Team. He is a first year MSc student in the Environmental and Energy Policy program at Michigan Technological University. He earned BSc in Petroleum Engineering from Kazakh National Technological University. He has 5 years of work experience in different sectors of Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry. As he worked in this industry, he made conclusions about the need to change his vector of professional growth within areas related to sustainable development. Currently, Azat collaborates with the Policy Team on MEEA’s current projects during the summer internship.
In his free time, he plays the khomus and is interested in how languages have changed over time.
