Michael Hairston serves as a Building Policy Associate at MEEA. He is responsible for tracking building policy development in MEEA’s 13-state region and he is also responsible for assisting with MEEA’s building policy activities, including building energy codes, building energy rating systems, and building techniques in addition to policy educational outreach. Prior to working at MEEA, he worked for Building Performance Engineering in Boone, NC and The Performance Point in Charlotte, NC. He has a B.A. in Fine Art from North Carolina Central University and a M.S. in Industrial Technology from Appalachian State University.
